“Artful oasis” – Brea, CA

City: Brea, CA
Project Type: Remodel
Room(s): Living room with dining area, family room, kitchen, bedroom, primary bathroom, half bathroom, laundry, hallway.

We took on a gut remodel that transformed a closed-off space into a bright, open-concept home. By combining two living rooms and a small kitchen into one large area, we created a bigger kitchen, added more storage, and made plenty of room for gatherings.

The design is contemporary and practical, blending luxurious and earthy tones. We used a mix of neutral colors and bold jewel tones to reflect the client’s personality and display their artwork.

In the formal living room, a custom dark blue curved sofa adds a luxurious touch, balanced by white swivel chairs. The client’s Noguchi coffee table remains a centerpiece. We built a custom unit by the fireplace to display knick-knacks and sentimental items behind glass doors, with more storage below.

The casual living room, near the backyard doors, is perfect for relaxing. It features a comfy green velvet sectional and a round black coffee table that anchors the space. A stylish black media console adds extra storage and fits the artistic vibe without overwhelming the room.

The kitchen, now central to the open area, has stunning quartzite countertops and sleek white and oak cabinets. A large island, the client’s dream, provides more storage and workspace.

The bedroom is a calm retreat with neutral tones and pops of color from poufs, and a unique wood dresser that fits the home’s aesthetic. The bathrooms are neutral with wood vanities and bold quartzite countertops featuring blue accents, making an interesting focal point.

This remodel improved the home’s function and created a stylish, inviting space that fits the client’s taste and personality.
