“Organic modern and warm minimal” – Orange, CA
City: Orange, California
Project Type: Remodel
Room(s): Kitchen

This kitchen in Orange, California underwent a major upgrade – from an outdated style that didn’t match the rest of the home to a beautiful, modern organic space with clean lines and warm wood tones that now flow seamlessly with the home’s overall aesthetic. The lack of storage and limited counter space for cooking were solved with a new layout that offers ample storage, more countertop surface for comfortable meal prep, and even a separate coffee and tea station.
A light and neutral color palette, paired with warm oak cabinets, gives the kitchen its modern organic and warm minimal feel. Clean, simple lines are balanced by geometric 3D tiles that reflect light beautifully and add a subtle layer of texture.
Storage was a key focus. Tall pantry cabinets and upper cabinets are balanced with open wood shelves to keep the space feeling open.
Lighting – especially above the workspace – is essential in every design. In this kitchen, the cooking area is illuminated by sconces that add a small, decorative pop of color. Integrated LED lighting under the upper cabinets and floating shelves adds both functional lighting for the countertops and a soft, ambient light.
A dedicated coffee and tea station was an important addition. While small appliances sit on the counter, everything else needed to prepare a hot drink or grab a snack is neatly stored in the corner opposite the kitchen entrance.
What was once a dim and cramped kitchen with mismatched design has been transformed into a bright, cohesive space with a lot of storage, generous workspace, and a look that truly matches with the rest of the home.
